FILLERS

Wrinkles mainly happen on the parts of the body that get the most sun exposure, including the face, neck, the backs of the hands, and the tops of the forearms. Two processes are mainly responsible for making our faces appear older as we age: the formation of wrinkles, caused simply by our daily facial expressions, and the changing contours of the face, caused by the skin losing its elasticity and volume, which results in sagging.
There are two basic proven approaches in the treatment of wrinkles and facial rejuvenation and it is often useful to combine both:
Anti-wrinkle injections work by minimising the power of the expressive facial muscles, and Fillers aim to provide support in certain areas by using hyaluronic acid, a gel-like substance, which returns the face to its youthful state.
Injectable wrinkle fillers can give you a more youthful look for a fraction of what a traditional facelift costs. Most will fill hollows, lines, and wrinkles in less than 30 minutes with results that can last from 4 months to more than a year.
Injectable wrinkle fillers, unlike anti-wrinkle injections that relax the muscle under a wrinkle, fill the line, crease, or area with one of several different substances. As a result, trouble spots nearly disappear.
Wrinkle fillers can also be used as "volumisers," plumping and lifting cheeks, chins, jawlines, and temples; filling out thin lips, and plumping sagging hands.
How long the results last varies from several months to over a year or two. Some research shows that repeated injections may help stimulate the body's own natural production of collagen. That will help reduce the number of lines and wrinkles. There is also some evidence that less filler is needed over time to achieve the same look.
